I have no idea how these towels got such good reviews. Yes, they look nice (I have the red set), but they are not absorbant at all. I don't even use them to dry dishes, just to wipe my hands when I'm cooking and doing dishes. Some people suggested they improve after a few washes. Well, I've had them for a year now and so they've had their fair share of washes, yet I still think the old sock I use as a cleaning rag is more absorbant than these things.

As to how they've held up, I suppose the color is still in place, though they did bleed into some other stuff they were being washed with. One towel started unravelling, though only after almost a year of use. They've lasted, but they have not been particularly useful.

I purchased these kitchen towels based on all of the positive reviews and am very disappointed. While the towels look nice enough out of package they are much thinner than I was hoping for. After washing and drying the towels before their first use in the kitchen they came out of the dryer a wrinkled mess. I haven't seen anything come of the dryer this wrinkled in a long time. There is no way I would hang these in my kitchen without ironing them first and I'm not going to start ironing kitchen towels so they went straight into the rag bag.
